Compiled financial statements for a bank, a buyer or a board.
Annual or interim financial statements with a compilation engagement report under CSRS 4200, prepared from a reconciled ledger.

Many lenders and buyers will accept compiled financial statements where an audit or review would be more than the situation warrants. A compilation engagement produces statements with a report that explains the basis on which they were prepared and states that no assurance is expressed on them.
Because the statements come from books we have reconciled all year, the compilation is the last step in a process rather than the start of a scramble.
